I was just in Borders and had the same experience…CDs for $18.99 and my cut-off is $13.99. I still buy from Newbury Comics (a big New England chain) because I too prefer CDs to mp3s, but even they have started to charge $15.99 and up. If this doesn’t spell the death knell for CDs, I don’t know what will! Time to get some more milk crates and go back to vinyl, I’m thinking…but wait, they’re charging $20 for those too! It’s hard not to feel like a victim when trying to actually pay for music these days! ; )
